Peace Corps - Still the Toughest Job You'll Ever Love (Zoom)

The Peace Corps celebrates its 65th anniversary this year, marking over six decades of international friendship, community-driven development, and public service since its founding in 1961.This course explores the rich history of the agency, its evolution to meet modern global challenges, and its three core goals. Life experience, professional expertise, and a mature perspective are redefining what it means to be a modern Peace Corps volunteer. The course highlights new opportunities to serve, ideal for volunteers over age 50. Participants will chat with David Christiansen, a 67-year-old volunteer from Bruceton Mills, WV, currently serving in a university setting in Columbia.
