CourseGraphic This presentation explores the history, myths, and cultural traditions behind rangoli, a vibrant form of Indian folk art. Participants will compare rangoli designs from different regions of India and examine how this art form relates to sand art traditions in Africa, Tibet, the Middle East, and Europe, considering the practitioners, materials, and stories behind each practice. The session will feature an abundance of colorful images and photographs to bring these artistic traditions to life.
